What’s in a name? To us, it represents our identity and our values. We named our company after our grandfather, John McKinley Payton, a master carpenter who worked throughout the Chattanooga mountains during the early 1900s. He set a standard of honesty, integrity, and craftsmanship, rooted in a deep love for God and family. Today, we are proud to honor his legacy by carrying on this family tradition.

Founded in June 2008, JMP Products, LLC is built on a foundation of over 150 years of collective industry expertise. Our founders—Tom, John, and Josh Graves, along with Laurie Graves Berry—possess an intimate understanding of construction schedules and project flow. They established JMP to leverage this experience, providing clients with the industry's finest hollow metal frames, wood and metal doors, and hardware. Our mission remains simple: deliver superior products on schedule while consistently exceeding expectations.

After almost 20 years, JMP Products has established itself as a leader in the door and hardware business, both locally and nationally. Though we have achieved significant success, we remain rooted in the values established by our founders. In 2012, we lost Tom Graves to pancreatic cancer, but his influence is felt every day. Led now by Josh Graves, with John and Laurie continuing the family partnership, we strive to uphold the godliness, honesty, and generosity that Tom modeled as a husband, father, and mentor. His spirit lives on through the integrity we bring to every project.
"I am the Door; anyone who enters through Me will be saved (and will live forever), and will go in and out (freely), and find pasture (spiritual security)."
